when I moved to Florida I left her with my grandfather, I wasn’t sure where I’d be living or what my schedule would be like down here. Once I got settled I was going to get her back, but about 2 months after I moved my grandfather called and said he had to give her up to one of my brother’s friends because he didn’t have time to take care of her (bullshit.) I was really, really upset but there was nothing I could do from 1,500 miles away. When I went back to Mass last summer I got in touch with the girl who took Marley in, explaining my situation and asking if I could take her back (considering she is MY dog, not my grandfather’s to just give away.) at first she was sympathetic and willing to let me take her, but changed her mind about a day later, saying her 10-year-old sister was really attached and slept with her every night, and would be completely heartbroken if I took her away. I got really, really mad and started responding saying I would get authorities involved if I had to, because all of her papers are in my name, but I finally calmed down and realized Marley had a really good home with little kids who love her and play with her, so I decided to just leave it at that.
I’m pretty sure we’re going to be getting married down here in Florida. Chris has lived in Celebration for 8 or 9 years, but originally Texas :)
